When visiting my sister in coastal RI I’ve noticed that the wind is stronger and the air more moist than at home in upstate NY. Wearing a cowl keeps my neck nice and warm, allowing me to walk around in comfort. Great for cross country skiing too. oh and it works great as a doggy cowl too as those ‘so called coats’ don’t really keep their necks warm.

Edited and test knit. Yardage in kit was fine for the test knitter and she had no questions or improvements.
