Zigzagging stripes in Stockinette stitch and Seed stitch travel up these fingerless mitts from cuff to top. For a good fit the mitts are worked with a thumb gusset, which emerges neatly from one of the stripes.

The mitts are worked in the round from the cuff up. The hand length is adjustable. The design is unhanded, i.e. each mitt can be worn on either hand. However, there are instructions given for ‘left’ and ‘right’ mitts to enable you to work mitts which are a mirror image of each other if desired.

The textured pattern can be worked from charts or written instructions.
