A rose is something beautiful. They need direct sun, proper water, rich soil, and exceptional care to bloom and grow to their best potential. A rose growing from a crack in the concrete is special but it will face immediate adversity. Its ability to bloom may be hindered and by most accounts it is unlikely to live a long life.

This design and the shawl design: The Rose That Grew From Concrete, are both inspired by the poem written by Tupac Shakur and is intended to honor the many ROSES that have grown from a crack in the concrete and continue to defy the odds each day to live…to bloom…to make our world better just by existing. Roses From Concrete shines light on those ROSES that are often invisible to us as they struggle to bloom and grow in a world that rarely believe in the possible success of such a feat. Let’s support each other …take care of each other… more importantly love each other.
