It’s a cozy cowl attached to an even cozier poncho - what else would you call it?! Beginning at the neck, this design uses a variety of fun stitch patterns to blend five colors into one awesome garment. Short-row shaping on the sides allows this poncho to drape evenly over the shoulders.

The pattern is written for One Size which fits women through size Womens XL. When worn, the circumference (after blocking) around the bust and upper arms is:

  • Approximately 60 inches measured 10 inches below the shoulders
  • Approximately 66 inches measured 12 inches below the shoulders
  • Circumference at hem is approximately 80 inches after blocking.

Yarn Requirements:
This project requires five - 100g (190 yard) skeins of Sock-aholic Brewski worsted weight yarn. The poncho is designed to be knit from five different yarn colors, which are used fairly equally. Alternatively, the garment would look lovely knit from a single color.

Yarn

Sock-aholic® Brewski is dyed by hand at our brewery using a wonderfully soft 4-ply Luxury Worsted Yarn made from 100% Fine Merino Superwash. Each 100g skein contains approximately 190 yards, and knits at a gauge of 5-6 stitches per inch using size 5-7 needles. This yarn is soft as a cloud, yet durable enough to make fabulous garments that you’ll want to wear right next to your skin.

This yarn may be machine washed in cool water using a gentle cycle and mild detergent. Roll in a towel to remove excess water (do not twist or wring), and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
