This is a PDF pattern of a Crochet Flower Brooch. The Pattern contains instructions and photo-tutorials for:

  1. Lotus Flower where the edges of the petals are pointed
  2. Rose Flower where the petal’s edges are rounded
  3. Use of a button in the centre
  4. Crocheted centre
  5. Three sizes to choose from
  6. The variations and experimenting are unlimited :)

Basic knowledge of crochet is required (US terms); at least up to how to make a single, half double and double crochet stitches and increase in the same stitch.

MAIN MATERIALS AND TOOLS:

  1. Acrylic, Cotton or Bamboo yarn
  2. Small amount of any other yarn, slightly thicker than the main yarn (point 1)
  3. Crochet hook size 2.5mm
  4. Brooch Bar Pin with a size between 30-50mm (1-2in) with two or more holes
  5. Tapestry needle
  6. Optional: a button with an approximate diameter of 2cm (0.8in)

APPROXIMATE DIAMETERS:

  • Small flower, 7cm (2.8in)
  • Regular flower, 10cm (4in)
  • Large flower, 12cm (5in)
  • The instructions have been tested on several types of yarns and threads. If you will be using different yarn brand or type, use an average hook size between the smallest and largest size suggested on the yarn label.

Instructions are written in English and expressed in US crochet terms.
