This pattern will instruct you on how to crochet this cute mini cactus and fit it into a clay pot. Using the hook size and yarn specified, the finished cactus measures approximately 6” (15 cm) tall and 2.5” (6.5 cm) across. All instructions are written in standard American terms.

Skills needed: For this pattern you must know how to make a magic ring, chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, increase, decrease, crochet in the round and basic sewing skills.

Materials: Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in green and brown, and scrap yellow (colors shown are Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Fern, Chocolate and Mustard), 5 mm (US H8) crochet hook, yarn needle & scissors, 2.5” (6.5 cm) terra cotta clay pot or similar size, hot glue gun and glue stick and polyester fiber filling (optional)
