Pattern is now available in the wayback machine. http://straw.com/crystalpalaceyarns/patterns/indiepatts3/...

I will also link to the pattern in Dropbox but if you would like it before I get to that please pm me.

This pattern is the crochet version of the Panda Silk DK Fan Shawl. I tried to keep the texture and feel of the original shawl.

There is a chart for the creation of the motif and a diagram indicating the direction you are working. I have also included a photo page to help you understand the stitch instructions.

Please note I am a tight crocheter. I chose the F (3.75 mm) hook for that reason. If your fans are coming out bigger than what you see in my pictures, then you might want to go down in hook size.

Please contact me if you have any questions or issues with this pattern. And please be aware that I am classifying this pattern as Intermediate. If you are not an intermediate stitcher please take that into consideration before you begin this pattern.

These notes were posted by one of my testers on keeping track of the finishing rows.
To keep track of repeats on the Finishing rows
Row 1 - place stitch markers on 13th sc on each fan on the ‘up’ side, and on the 1st sc of 13 on the down side. Moving these up as rows 2 & 3 are worked marks the filling up of the V between the fans. Remove them all as row 4 is worked (the filler stitches move from an odd number to an even, so you will no longer be hitting them evenly).
Row 4 - pm at either side of the 18 non-sc stitches.
Row 5 - you’ll hit the markers at (alternating) 5th or 2nd of the 6 sc in the repeat section. Remove those markers as you work and place markers at every 2sc in 1 stitch (except the first and the last)
Row 6 - the markers once again match the border between the sc and filler stitches.
