This cowl is comfortable and easy to wear, takes no time at all to make, so it’s perfect for a last minute gift & only uses a small amount of yarn, so it’s a great stash buster :-)

Materials: 4.5mm hook
130-160m (140-175yd) 8 ply or DK weight yarn.
Scissors.
Tapestry needles.

Tension/Gauge: Accurate tension or gauge is not essential for this project however the cowl shown in the pictures has 13 “Shells” or pattern repeats and is 56cm (22”) in circumference and 16.5cm (6 1/2”) tall. Which works out as each pattern repeat (1 shell, plus 2tr) being approx 4.5cm (1 3/4”) wide.
