Are you tired of getting shot in the head by a skeleton’s arrow while mining for diamonds? Then this is the perfect hat for you! Diamonds To You is crafted in six different colors of yarn, using a short row/
wrap-and-turn combination to work the patch of color in the round. A ribbed brim will help the hat stay on your head while you’re fighting off creepers from exploding your mining spot, and a change in needle size between the brim and body makes sure it fits snugly.

The color work in this pattern is rather complex; if this is your first time knitting with multiple strands, I would recommend either starting with a simpler, two-color pattern or duplicate stitching the color chart to the completed hat once you’re done. If you go for the second option, work the color chart just in your main color in the round as you normally would.

This hat was inspired by a widely popular video game called Minecraft, developed by Mojang. Diamonds are the rarest element found in the game, and I developed this pattern as part of an
ongoing project I’ve started with a friend, which we’ve dubbed The Raven Society. It’s a charity program designed to raise funds for Child’s Play, an organization that donates gaming materials to
kids in hospitals for therapy and entertainment. If you have any questions about this project, feel free to message me on Ravelry!

A huge thank you goes out to Carol Kramer for testing this pattern for me!

This is a free pattern, but as it’s part of a charity project to donate to Child’s Play, it would be awesome if you could do that. Donate here!

Note: I apologize for the horrible photo quality. I’ll try and get better ones soon, promise!
