Quick and easy poncho knit from the top down in one piece. The seemingly random eyelets provide a loose and soft drape to this thick and thin fiber. Looks are deceiving; this is faux lace at it’s best.

Note: Sage is modeling the poncho as a skirt! She’s about a size 3/5 in teen sizes and it was loose on her.

Finished measurements: (one size, model is a size 14)
Neck circumference: 22”
Bottom circumference: 60”
Length: 21”

Materials:
Berroco Gusto in Holite Green 1964, 5 skeins
US #15, 24: circ
8 stitch markers (1 different from others)

Gauge:
About 2 sts/in and 3.5 rows/in over pattern stitch on #15:

Pattern stitch:
Round 1: Purl
Round 2: As they present on the left needle, purl the thick stitches, and yo, p2tog the thin stitches. Be sure to pair the yo, p2tog so that the stitch count doesn’t change unintentionally.

Note: the garment is reversible. Both sides are pleasing. I wrote the pattern in reverse stockinette stitch because I find it easier to yo, p2tog rather than yo, k2tog. You can opt to work entire poncho in knit rather than purl if that’s your preference.
