About the Design
This scarf has two versions, a straight-edged version, and my favorite, the shaped-edge version.

Cables undulate. Their curves beckon to be noticed, and how better to notice them than to not have anything else surrounding them!

Though the shaping occurs on the wrong side rows, alleviating some of the right side row work, this stitch pattern is not one that can be knit in one’s sleep. Its beauty, though, is definitely worth the extra attention needed. And the 100% cashmere yarn makes the journey a very enjoyable one.

Knit this luscious scarf for yourself or as a gift for a very special friend. It will become your favorite!

Shaped Scarf: 3″ at widest part of cable, 1.75″ at narrowest part of cable x 90″ long

Straight Scarf: 4.5″ wide x 52″ long

Yarn: Garden Yarns 8-ply Cashmere (This yarn is no longer available, but any, smooth heavy worsted wt. yarn will work, it doesn’t need to be cashmere – baby alpaca would be equally as lovely.)

Substitute Yarn Weight: heavy worsted/aran weight

Skill Level: Experienced (however, if you can cable and work double increases and decreases, you can make this scarf.

Happy Knitting!
