Phoenix Bess Drama Queen (corrected)
This hot little number is all about fresh style that is comfortable and fun. Knitted in an exquisite silk yarn that is surprisingly stretchy, the sweater has ease in all the right places. Snug ribbing grazes your waist, giving way to a fitted bodice adorned with a beaded collar; the perfect frame for neck and shoulders. The wide sleeves end in luscious beaded ribbing that almost grazes the fingertips for a dramatic effect. Easy construction makes this a great first sweater project. No tricky techniques here, just simple circular knitting all the way. Even the glamorous collar is worked in the round, and its beaded yarn adds all the drama for you.

Not ready for this much drama? The pattern includes modification instructions for lengthening the garment, giving you maximum midriff coverage.

To create Drama Queen for sizes XS (S, M, L, XL) you will need 3 (3, 3, 4, 5) skeins of Tilli Tomas Pure & Simple (100% Spun Silk; 260 yds/100 g) and 2 (2, 2, 2, 3) skeins of Tilli Tomas Rock Star (100% Spun Silk with Glass Beads; 100–150 yds/100 g). The design is pictured in Aqua Zing. Suggested needles are US 5 (3.75 mm), 29” Circular and 1 set of US 5 (3.75 mm) Double-Pointed Needles.
