Darla is keeping me busy with Doll Clothing requests!

I am slowly making my way through her list - so if you have any requests feel free to leave me a comment on Ravelry to let me know and I will see what I can do :)

This 18 Inch Doll Dress is worked in one piece from top to bottom. It is crocheted back and forth in rows for the first half of the project. Once you reach the mid back you continue in rounds.

Using medium weight yarn makes this project quick and easy to crochet and a great starter project for children who want to crochet. Single crochet stitches were used to make the dress.

A simple clasp or button can be added to close the back of the dress at the neckline, or you can leave it open as we did to make dressing and undressing your Dolly as easy as possible for little hands.

To put the dress on you simply pull it up from the feet and the arms if they are positioned by her sides will slide right inside the sleeve holes.

Part of my goal with the crochet these doll clothes was to make it easy for Darla to dress and undress her Dolly by herself… because dressing Dolly is often a group activity in our house! Putting clothes on a plastic doll doesn’t need to be so darn difficult! So this dress was designed with that in mind - Dolly dressing needs to be easy :)

Have fun with your yarn!!
