Let freedom ring! For all of us.

Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check, but that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love. Why Bilbo Baggins? Perhaps because I am afraid, and he gives me courage.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien

Yardage requirements

MC: 550 yards
CC: 425 yards

Sample is knit with Mora in Pearl Ten (MC) and Piedras (CC)

Measurements: 82 inches wide by 26 inches deep

This design is inspired by the fireworks at Bilbo Baggins’ 111th birthday party.

Eleventy-One is an asymmetrical crescent shaped shawl knit on the bias.

Alternating sections of dark background and multi-colored fireworks are knit from one corner to the final border, where small bursts of color play against the night sky. A nifty picot bind off finishes the whole thing off.

The design will work with any weight yarn, however, knitting to a different gauge will require larger or smaller needles and need more or less yardage, accordingly. Yardage requirements are based on the weight and gauge given.
