This sweater is a variation of Walker’s sleeveless template, called the wide-neck blouse. I liked being able to create a neckline that drops in the back, which is made possible by initially working the back as two separate pieces (a left and right side) with provisional cast-ons and then connecting them after you’ve cleared the width of your neck. I worked the upper portion of the sweater in Linen Stitch, upon which I embroidered a Mexican-inspired floral motif. After tracing the motif onto dissolvable embroidery stabilizer (a fantastic tool that makes embroidering on knits much easier), I stitched the design with floss and dissolved the stabilizer with water.
