I needed to knit a blanket for my sweet new niece. Usually I find blankets to be a daunting so I designed something easy to pick up and put down, perfect for tv knitting, and infinitely customizable. Encore is indestructible so the recipient can wash and dry the finished blanket as many times as a messy baby renders it necessary.

Details: This blanket is knit using stockinette broken up by regularly placed purl ridges. The edging is worked in one large round in garter stitch. The pattern can easily be altered to be wider or longer by casting on more stitches or knitting sections longer. Even the edging can be knit to your specs. Have fun, be creative!
