This cowl is only available as part of a hat/cowl set. Technically listed by Ravelry as an “e-book” it is a single pattern with instructions for both pieces.

Many stitch patterns are interesting on both sides, but when you simply work them inverted they do not look the same as the wrong side of the knitting. My solution is to do a bit of the knitting inside out. This also has an added benefit of creating pieces that are completely reversible. The sides may not be identical - but they look great regardless of which side is showing. And with cowls, you never know which side is going to be flipped out.

This pattern is quite simple, requiring the ability to: work in the round, knit, purl, and in the hat work simple decreases. It is suitable for all levels of knitter.

If you want to substitute yarns, make sure to take a look at the actual yardage in tosh DK - it is a heavier weight DK and you might have more success substituting a light weight worsted than one of the lighter yarns labeled DK.
