Pattern Description from Inspired to Knit: “For this design, I wanted to capture the classic styling of the traditional Shetland Fair Isle yoke sweater in the heathered, natural shades of the autumn landscape. I blew up the scale of a typical Shetland sweater, deconstructed it to just the patterned yoke, and translated it into a tweedy, marled yarn in the vegetable-dyed colors of dried fields and fallen leaves. Then I made a pair of unfinished sleeves, or gauntlets, to wear with it.”

Finished Size: 12” circumference at hand above thumb opening, and 14” (35.5 cm) long overall

Yarn: Worsted weight (#4 Medium). Tahki Stacy Charles Donegal Tweed (100% wool; 183 yd 167 m/100 g): #892 apple green, #863 red, #848 oatmeal, #846 maize, #869 brown, #874 burgundy, #895 charcoal, #839 olive, and #8933 pumpkin, 1 skein each for capelet and gauntlet set.

Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm) set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle; small stitch holders for gauntlets.
