HEATHER: A FELTED BAG PATTERN

Worked in the round and in one piece – no seams and no sewing!

Off-centre flap fastens with button to front.

The sturdy handle is a versatile length - either throw the bag over your shoulder or swing it by hand.

Uses approximately 300g/300m of super-bulky yarn. (I used Rowan Country in the Heather colourway.) Knits on 10mm / US15 needles.

I stiffened the base and lined the bag, but neither are necessary (and instructions for this are not included in the pattern).

Finished measurements (based on yarn used and felting at 60 degrees):
Height: 10.5” / 27cm
Width: 8.5” / 22cm
Depth: 5.5” / 14cm at base, tapering to 1.5” / 4cm at top.
Handle width: 1.5” / 4cm
Handle length: 22” / 56cm.

Pattern includes instructions for Kitchener stitch and felting.
