This is the coordinating dress to the First Saturday (for Moms) dress. Instead of a fitted dress, this version features an empire waist. Since most little girls love purple, I chose a shade called Deep Lavender.

The dress is knit from the bottom up and has the same vertical lines as Mom’s version. The back neckline is lower than the front neckline. The dress is designed with two inches of ease at the chest.

P.S. The First Saturday name refers to the First Saturday in May. Here’s a hint: I live in Kentucky. (See the Tea Roses pattern for yarn requirements should you want to add these to the dress.)
