The corners on this hat poke up or hang down to look like ears--hence the name EarHat. The flames motif folds up over ribbing for a snug fit. The extra layers of knitting in that area sit right over your ears to keep them nice and warm.

This hat is offered in two versions. The Hot Rod version has red flames and a plain stockinette top. The Princess version has pink flames and tassels as well as a lace pattern for the top for an extra girly look. The flames are worked from a chart. The pattern includes both a chart and written instructions for the lace.

The pattern includes directions for two sizes small-18 inches around and large-24 inches around. You may adjust the sizing by manipulating the yarn weight and gauge.
