Flapping of angels’ wings owes its name to its delicate lace stitch pattern, reminding me of little angels’ wings flapping in the air.
Flapping of angels’ wings shawl is a triangular asymmetric shawl, worked sideways from the right tip to the left edge. Garter body part, shaped with side increases and decreases, and lace part are worked simultaneously.
The size of the shawl can be easily adjusted as the construction stays identical all over the knit work, and therefore width can be added just adding more yarn length and keeping working the same way until the desired width is obtained.

GAUGE after blocking: 26 sts x 44 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” in garter stitch.
Gauge is not critical; different gauge will only affect finished size and yardage.

FINISHED SIZE after blocking: width 155 cm / 59”; depth at the deepest point 50 cm / 19.75”.
(finished size of the shawl isn’t huge. You might want to consider to add width just using more yarn and adding more repeats)
