This super cute table mat is made using size 1 super fine yarn (sock yarn) and let me tell you…it’s incredibly light weight and soft! The super fine yarn gives this table mat a little substance without being too bulky. You will also need a G/6 (4.25mm) hook.

And, since this is made up of granny squares, you can make any design you could possibly imagine! Some examples would be a long table runner, a large oval mat, place mats for your dining table or, if you’re really ambitious, a table cloth or bedspread.
