This is a great little basket, which was designed to use exactly one skein each of two colors of Paton’s Classic Wool, which is easy to find at just about any large big box craft store. It’s just the perfect size for tossing in anything from books, CDs, to little kid’s toys!

Pattern uses: Paton’s North America Classic Wool Worsted, 100% wool, 3.5 ounces/100 grams, 210 yards/192 meters, 1 skein each of color A and color B, size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook, and 2 optional ½” buttons for decoration.

Basket measures 9” tall by 12” across after felting. Size varies slightly, depending on which yarn you use and how heavily you felt the bag.

Complete beginner felting instructions are included.

Base is worked flat, then the sides of the basket are joined in the round. The handle and flowers are made separately and then sewn to the basket.
