This model is an original design by Louise Robert for Biscotte Yarns. Fondants socks are knitted by the toes-up and the technique used to knit the heel was popularized on the blog fleegleblog.blogspot.com in 2006 and this is the reason why this type of heel is known as the “Fleegle heel”.

In addition to your free sock pattern, you will need the following to knit this pair of socks:

Biscotte Minis yarn set : Bis-sock 4 mini-skeins of 25g for a total of 100g, shown in Fondants colourway.

Needles & Notions

DPN’s or circulair needles of 2.5mm (US #1.5) or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry needle
One stitch marker

Sizes - Small (Medium, Large)

Leg circumference (unstreatched) = 19 (21, 23) cm – 7½ (8¼, 9) in.

Foot length is adjustable.

Gauge - 32 stitches & 48 rows = 10 cm – 4 in stockinette st.
