These socks feature simple cables running the length of the front and down the back, through the heel flap. Just the thing for those backless clogs, to show off a pretty sock heel. The pattern sort of reminds me of a path winding through the forest.

Finished Size: S (M, L) 7” (8”, 9” around), unstretched

Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, 80% Superwash Merino/20% Nylon, 435 yards/100g (Sample knit in Midway)

Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles size 2 US (2.75 mm), or size to obtain gauge

Note: While the stockinette gauge is correct, these socks are smaller than a typical 56/64/72 stitch sock. The cables cause the stitches to pull. I suggest knitting one size larger than your usual sock.
