Welcome, Old Sport! Flappers embodied glitz and glamour in the 1920’s and the “Fox Spirit” cowl is a celebration of the fabulous art deco style of the age…. and that’s no banana oil!
It’s also a bit of a nod to my favorite Australian flapper detective, the Honorable Miss Phyrne Fisher. I hope this cowl would live up to her inestimable style :-)

This cowl is double-knitted in the round so the sides will mirror each other. Double-knitting gives it a clean finish on both sides and it is reversible… which I think is just the cat’s pajamas!

It took around 275 yards each of two highly contrasting colors of yarn (550-600 yards total).

My pattern assumes a basic understanding of double knitting, but there are oodles of great instructional videos on YouTube if you’re struggling with any part of the technique.
You can also feel free to contact me directly if any part of the pattern is confusing or you need help with knitting it in general!

I say, thanks for taking a look and, dash it all!, have a positively grand day! :-)

$1 from each pattern sold will be donated to an organization that helps to fight the climate crisis, to build a more sustainable world for our future.
