Frances and her baby fox are knit in the round, all parts (head, body, legs, arms, ears, tail) separately and sewn together. The apron is knit flat, with I-cord edge and string. Snack food (mice, hen) are both knit in one piece. When casting on leave a longer tail to be used for sewing.

Finished Toy Size: Frances is approximately 9” (23 cm) sitting, 14” (36 cm) head to tail. The Baby fox is approximately 9” (23 cm) head to tail.

You can use a worsted weight yarn or fingering weight yarn held double. In case of using fingering weight yarn held double, double the yardage.
Frances: 110 / 120 yards / 101 / 110 meters (MC), 40 / 50 yards / 37 / 46 meters (C1 and C2), 50 yards / 46 meters (C4 and C5 for the apron), Baby fox: 60 yards / 55 meters (MC), 25 yards / 23 meters (C1 and C2), Snack food: 10 yards / 9 meters (C4 for mice), 15 yards / 14 meters (C1 for hen).
