This is a pattern for the Frost Flowers Shawl (see picture circa 1974 of me wearing the first iteration of this shawl at Bowdoin College). It is also a pattern for a somewhat larger version made with hand dyed green mohair and sans fringe which I like to use as an afghan or throw on the couch. The green color is particularly welcome in Maine in January. I recommend this not be your first lace knitting -- for your first lace knitting try the Feather and Fan Scarf which is free and a good learning experience for lace. I also recommend that you work up a swatch of the lace pattern for this project in white yarn first so that you can see what you are doing. After that it should be smooth sailing.
