04/16/2009 this is by no means a rant, just an observation.

I read a few people stating that there is an error on the edging chart. No, there isn’t. Most of the people who said so think there should be a double YO at the center. I wanted the shawl to have one single point at the center, not a double one.
It’s really hard for me to explain how my madness works, but suffice to say I’m a symmetry freak.

For the people following the charts with no center stitch:
On the last repeat, when you get to the point where you have to do the double YO, don’t! Do one YO and start the edging chart on the next RS row.

I’ll be posting the link for the corrected pattern soon.

Joycef2 made a wonderful suggestion, here it is:

As an avid shawl knitter, I would like to make a suggestion that might make the pattern easier for novices. In the pattern you say to knit seven repeats of rows 3 through 33. This may be misleading as it doesn’t include parts of the pattern repeat that need to be knit. I would like to suggest instead that perhaps it could be 7 repeats of rows 21 to 35 with the last repeat ending at row 32. This change would include all parts of the leaves plus set up for the shawl edging.

I hope this makes it easier for you.

25/05/2009 I was informed that there was one st missing on row 37 (right side) of the French version of this pattern. Christine, being the amazing, careful person she is, has already correct it. For anyone one who had downloaded the French version before today, please do it again.

To the naysayers and party poopers out there, I’d like to remind you that:

  1. you’re not forced to knit this pattern, if there are mistakes in any of the versions is because the people working on it are only humans,
  2. we’re only humans. If you cannot deal with mistakes, move on and go find something else to knit,
  3. did you notice that we are doing this FOR FREE? Do you really think the best way to repay us is by trashing us over the internet?
