In 2005, I started my blog, The Giving Flower, to
inspire others to be creative and to find other fiber artists with similar interests.  Since then, it has been a wonderful adventure in the fiber arts, blogging, and most currently, podcasting.  Gardenia and
Walter are two friends I’ve created to make you happy and to welcome Spring, my favorite time of year.  I hope these two will keep you company on your own fiber adventures.

Approximate finished dimensions: 12.5”/ 32 cm high, 10.5”/ 27 cm high.
Skill Level: intermediate, it can be a bit fiddly to work at first.
Yarn: Aran weight yarn, 110.0 yards (100.6m) in blue and pink and 220.0 yards (201.2m) in green and Aran weight yarn, 220.0 yards (201.2m) in red and 110.0 yards (100.6m) in light blue.
Needles: set of 5 size US 6 /4 mm double point needle
Notions: locking stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round, sewing needle, yarn needle, embroidery needle, black, white and pink embroidery floss, white felt, safety eyes (optional), about 300 gr./ 1 cup of popcorn kernels or plastic pellets (optional) and polyester stuffing.
Gauge: 20 sts/4 inches. Although gauge is not important, you do want to have a tight fabric so the stuffing doesn’t show through.
