This simple hat is knitted bottom up, on two needles, flat and seamed.

It is entirely suitable for a beginner knitter and knits up fairly quickly.

Although I used Caron Simply Soft, it would make up fine in any (soft) aran yarn.

It would look very effective if you coordinate the colour stripes to your favourite coat/jacket.
