PATTERN NOTES
Sugar, spice, and everything wooly – these are ingredients that make up the Gingerbread Stocking. This festive design features colorwork inspired by the colors and shapes of the decorations on gingerbread houses. We can’t imagine a better sock to hang above your fireplace this season. Knit up in Deluxe Bulky, the fabric is thick and durable – perfect for holding as many gifts as you can stuff inside, and for lasting for years to come!

The Gingerbread Stocking is knit in the round from the cuff down. Mock cables decorate the cuff. It features an afterthought heel. The heel, toe, and cuff are worked in a contrasting color, while stranded knitting adorns the bulk of the stocking. An I-cord edging is added during finishing so you can hang the stocking. When working in the Gingerbread pattern, you may wish to place stitch markers between each pattern repeat to help you stay on track.
