Both the Gomphidius Violet and Gomphidius Swath patterns are included.

Knit in the round, top down, this tam begins on double pointed needles and later switches to a circular needle. A very quick-to-knit design using only knit and purl stitches, the predictable repeat pattern creates a crown of swirling triangle wedges. The rate of increase creates an impish pointy tip at the crown; two options are given for the ribbing: Staggered Rib (shown above) and Bamboo Stitch (shown in Gomphidius Swath sample). Two bind off options are also included. There are no seams and only 2 ends to weave in!
