Haldetrude is September’s installment in the Not Quite Samite series. With nupps, Estonian tulips, and a crochet chain edging it’s a quick and elegant accessory for the fall.

The scarf is worked in 2 pieces from the bottom up: the first border + scarf length is grafted to the second border.

The pattern has been test-knitted and assumes that you know how to cast on provisionally, read charts, knit nupps, and graft (Kitchener stitch). There is a photo tutorial for the gathered stitches that delineate the border from the rest of the scarf.
