This project reminds me of my father - Hamilton, who was an old style gentleman (holding doors, helping ladies out of the car, etc). He had exacting standards for how my mother, sister and I dressed. He would approve of this cowl!

This project is worked flat using Tunisian Crochet. There are instructions for a button hole at the end, but this is optional. You could just end it and use a shawl pin to hold it in place.

The interesting pattern is from alternating the Tunisian Simple Stitch with a Tunisian Shell stitch.

Hint: Work the foundation crochet chain with the larger hook, then work the first forward pass with the smaller size.
