You can buy a Harrogate pattern in one of two ways!

Harrogate is available as a custom pattern through CustomFit, as shown on Amy here in gray. Or, it’s available in my Ravelry shop as a traditional pattern, as shown on Jackie here in yellow.

Whichever way you make your pattern, Harrogate is a refined, comfortable pullover that makes the most of wool. An intricate cable panel creates an eye-catching vertical on the front, and the sleeves and back are simple Stockinette trimmed in 1x1 rib.

The CustomFit version comes with a moderate scoop neckline by default, but it can easily be raised before making your pattern into the mock turtleneck shown on Jackie. The CustomFit version is also available in four silhouettes - half-hourglass (with shaping on the back only), straight, a-line, and tapered.

The traditional pattern is written with full hourglass shaping and a mock turtleneck neckline.

Either way, it is worked in pieces and then seamed, with set-in sleeves. The neckline is worked in the round after finishing.

Lorna’s Laces Masham is a sturdy, soft, wonderfully woolly wool with a subtly marled color texture. It works up into a beautiful springy and substantial fabric. Should you decide to substitute yarn, you will need approximately 700 (759, 827, 873, 943, 985, 1066, 1120, 1197, 1260, 1347, 1449) yds / 638 (692, 754, 796, 860, 898, 972, 1022, 1091, 1149, 1228, 1321) m.

Mrs. Crosby Loves to Play Steamer Trunk is a sturdy, worsted-weight superwash with amazing stitch definition and a wonderful array of near-solid colors. For the (approximate) sizes listed, you’ll need 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9, 10, 10, 11, 12) hanks of Steamer Trunk.
