Heartbreaker
by Alex Tinsley
Why is this hat a Heartbreaker?
‘Cause it cheats, of course! That is to say- it forgoes complicated decreasing in brioche stitch for a tidy-looking and easy-as-pie ribbed alternative, making it a great introduction to brioche in the round. In a “Tart”-y shade of luscious Madelinetosh Merino, it’s the perfect Valentine’s Day date hat. (Warm, too, to keep out that nasty, less than-romantic February slush and
chill.)
NOTE: The directions in the pattern do not exactly match the directions in the tutorial video, however both methods work and both will line the brioche up with the rib :-) One just starts the brioche-ing on the knit stitches, and one starts on the purl stitches.
