These cosy socks are knitted top down with a heel flap and gusset construction, and a barn toe. You can choose between cosy knee-highs for inside your wellies, or ankle socks for keeping your feet warm around the house. The stranded colourwork cuff is optional, but using only two shades per row is a great introductory project if you haven’t tried the technique before.

Darning needle to sew in ends

GAUGE / TENSION
20 sts and 28 rounds to 10 cm / 4 inches measured over Stocking Stitch and stranded colourwork pattern, using larger needles

Note: To ensure stretch in the stranded colourwork, you may wish to use a larger needle size or knit this section inside-out
