Highland cattle is one of the first Scottish breeds of cow you think of. Its woolly coat and its sad expression endear this cattle breed to our hearts.

I thought that a cushion that looked like a highland cow would be fun to make and a great addition to the sofa. The highland fling cushion is charming as well as useful and a great talking point.

The main part of the cushion is knitted with Hayfield Bonus Aran Tweed Goldfish which has small flecks in it which adds to the effect of the woolly coat of the cow.
