“Hill View” Shawl
This pattern has come to life using hand dyed chunky yarn.

The concept for the piece has been born from the steel grey of Scottish scree hillsides, of standing stones and of the treasure that has begun the change in the outlander story, from Scotland being left and time to set sail.

The view from the top of the hill, looking down on Lallybroch was also in my mind, and a hill view that has been left behind.
The colours I used are Steel and Fools Gold, which beautifully tie into the piece and with the dyer of the yarn carrying the name of Hill View Farm, its name was set.

It’s a simple knit and suitable for all knitters wanting to create a shawl of warmth and comfort.
Its finished size is approx 42cm from neck to hem and 204cm wingspan.
