Inspired by original WWI socks, and Lord Kitchener himself, these cuff down socks are great for everyday wear. The simple ankle shaping and garter stitch heel lend to a customized fit and added strength. The toe is completed with the famous Kitchener Stitch.

Materials Needed:
Yarn: Swans Island Fingering (525yds/480m) 1 Skein in Oatmeal
Needles: One set (5) US 0 (2.0mm) Double Pointed Needles
Notions: Tapestry Needle, Scissors.
Gauge: 32sts = 4” in Stockinette Stitch. If your gauge is not that given here, try a smaller or larger needle until you obtain this gauge. If you have to use a different size needle from that called for, it will not in any way alter the garment provided you knit 6 stitches to the inch.

Measurements:
Finished Length: 12 in.
Foot Length: Customizable

Pattern Notes:
Sock is worked from the cuff down.
Yarn pictured is no longer available. I have listed a suitable replacement.
