The inspiration for this hot water bottle cover is the triangle and stripe patterns and designs on stationery, fabric and decor at the moment, especially appealing to young people.

Gauge/tension

2 patt reps = 9cm measured over cluster sts
6 rows =7cm measured over cluster sts

The yarn I used was kindly supplied to me. It is listed as worsted weight however it is a light aran/worsted weight, or heavy dk. So in this case tension is important or your cover might not fit your hot water bottle! It is a tight fitting cover so if your tension is looser than mine with your yarn, it should be fine however if it is tighter you will need to change hooks.

Before joining, make sure the cover fits your hot water bottle. You may need to add another row of edging if your tension is tighter or yarn is different.

Yarn: Rowan Pure Wool Worsted, 1 ball Moonstone 112 (A), 1 ball Magenta 119 (B), 1 ball Almond 103 (C)

Hints and tips
Make your hot water bottle cover in pure wool for great insulation.
Pay special attention to the RS and WS instructions as you will need to turn after most rows but not every row.
