The stitch pattern used in this hat is based on the shape of the fruit of the physalis plant. It was designed by Anna Kuduja aka Kuduja. I’ve fallen in love with the Physalis Lace, which I found so much fun to knit that I became addicted.
This hat is one of my adaptations using the Physalis.

After my first physalis hat, some knitters asked about the pattern, that made me think about releasing the pattern.

In my hometown, in Japan, Houzuki is the name for Chinese Lantern or Physalis.
Hope you enjoy making 40 Houzuki fruits in your hat!

And, thank you, Kuduja for creating the physalis and giving me permission!

Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
