This little overall/romper is worked from the top down, starting at the shoulders. Short rows at the back help to accommodate a diaper. The placket in front extends below the waist for ease with dressing a squirmy baby. The pattern calls for DK-weight yarn at a gauge of 5.5 st/inch, but a light worsted at that gauge will also work. Don’t ignore the row gauge (like I sometimes do)--it is important for this pattern!

The pattern has been tested in all sizes and is fun and easy to work, with enough variety to keep it interesting. Four sizes are available, from 0-3 through 12 months.
