Jardin de Vignes (garden of vines) is a pretty and simple pullover vest with waist shaping, perfect for crisp fall days or wearing to the office (when they haven’t gotten around to turning off the air conditioning). I wanted to create a piece that combined the rustic nature of Cascade Yarns Eco Wool and Eco Plus with delicate lace stitches and structured cables. I think the end result is timeless, classic, and wearable. Additionally, the pattern calls for 1-2 skeins of Eco Plus, making it so quick and affordable that you’ll want to make one in multiple colors!

This vest is worked flat from the bottom-up, and joined at shoulder with a 3-needle BO. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize, and comes with charted and written instructions.

To knit this pattern you will need:

  • familiarity with lace and cables
  • 3-5 stitch markers
  • 2 stitch holders
  • cable needle
  • darning needle
