Johanna Shawl is named after my mother’s grandmother, who lived in years 1869 - 1919. This lovely shawl is knit from neck down following a charted pattern and can be knit in any yarn, though I recommend fingering weight or finer yarn and bigger needles than the yarn suggests to get an airy and light result.

Gauge isn’t critical on this shawl. Note that bigger needle size increases the yardage and bigger needle size and/or thicker yarn means a bigger shawl and vice versa.
