This pattern is available for free.

This pattern is inspired by the video game Journey.

The PDF-file contains a chart for one mitt. Both are basically the same so they could be done exactly the same without it being bothersome, but for the pedant it is recommended to make the right and left glove by reading the chart from left to right and right to left for each mitt.

It also have simple written instructions to convey details about the construction.

The recommended construction suggests magic loop but the pattern does not include detailed instructions for that for example, so this might not be the perfect beginner knitting pattern. It could however present a perfect beginner stranded colour work pattern.

Kampes yarn hanks are sold per 100g and if you use that exact yarn you will have leftovers. For a size Large I used ca 30 grams of yellow and 70 grams of red for the pair.

In this pattern the ribbing is made with the same size needle but if you have a yarn that won’t hold ribs and provide additional elasticity you could go down 0.25 mm in size for the ribbing.

Pattern size Large is approximately glove size 8.

Except for knitting needles in appropriate size you will need a darning needle for sewing in ends.
