Jujisei combines long ribbing on hem and cuffs with a lattice lace pattern used throughout the body and wide, roomy sleeves. Dolman sleeves, with shaping integrated seamlessly in the lattice lace pattern, further enhances ease and softness of the silhouette. A braided ribbing for the neck and front band adds an elegant finishing touch to the cardigan.

The design and construction of this cardigan are based on those of another cardigan that I had created for my daughter in 2015. The pattern was not written nor was a name given to it. I completed her cardigan before our trip in the South Island of New Zealand. She appreciated having the cardigan that kept her warm on those chilly summer nights when we walked out of our campervan with a torchlight, then switched it off and filled our eyes with stars and try to locate the Southern Cross. The name of this cardigan Jujisei (十字星) comes from Japanese name minami jujisei (南十字星) for the Southern Cross.
