Handmade is an Australian craft magazine, published by the Australian Woman’s Weekly (or at least it was in 1996).

There is a basic pattern for a child’s jumper in sizes 1,2,3,4,5 years. With it there are graphs for various intarsia motifs:
teddy bears, snowflakes, Barbar the elephant, Miffy (Dick Bruna’s rabbit), rocket ship, barnyard patches (rooster cow etc in square blocks), toy train, seaside, L plates (great for toddlers), dalmation, lion, Blinky Bill (the koala).

Different versions suggest different DK (8ply) Patons wool - I just pulled the 8ply superwash out above as an example.

It is a very handy and versatile pattern if you can find a copy.
